Steward's Report
Ivy's Bobby and Tom For Shaw were slow to begin.
Fletch and Maxi Mal collided soon after the start. Ivy's Bobby and Tom For Shaw collided several times from the 250m mark to the 150m mark checking Tom For Shaw. Claretown Dermot and Draconic Lad raced wide throughout the event.
Meeting Comments:
Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr Neil Mason, regarding the greyhound Jenny's Chances being brought on-course at today's race meeting with the intention of trialling the greyhound which was in breach of the GRV Hot Weather Policy where the race meeting was deemed Heat Affected, and no trials were being conducted in accordance with the policy. Mr Mason pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $250 wholly suspended for a 12-month period pending no further breaches under GAR 86(ag). In assessing penalty, Stewards took into consideration Mr. Mason's record, his tenure in the greyhound racing industry as a licensed person and his remorse.
