Steward's Report
All persons attending today checked-in, wore face-masks indoors and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
Inky's Fireball was quick to begin. Cool Whip was slow to begin.
Fancy Lily faltered on the first turn and tailed off. Sanctioned and Crusoe Kid collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Exit Sign, Faint Perfume and Half Pint collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Inky's Fireball race wide entering the home straight checking Faint Perfume and Half Pint. Crusoe Kid and Exit Sign collided in the home straight checking Exit Sign.
Fancy Lily underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle and hip injuries. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Nathan Hunt regarding the racing manners of Exit Sign approaching the home turn and in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Hunt, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.
