Inky's Fireball was quick to begin.  Cool Whip was slow to begin. 

Fancy Lily faltered on the first turn and tailed off.  Sanctioned and Crusoe Kid collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Exit Sign, Faint Perfume and Half Pint collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds.  Inky's Fireball race wide entering the home straight checking Faint Perfume and Half Pint.  Crusoe Kid and Exit Sign collided in the home straight checking Exit Sign.

Fancy Lily underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle and hip injuries.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Nathan Hunt regarding the racing manners of Exit Sign approaching the home turn and in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Hunt, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Dennis Delight was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Mt. View Bro, Bolt For Biers and My Name's Judy collided soon after the start.  Bolt For Biers, Dennis Delight and My Name's Judy collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Dennis Delight checked off Mt. View Bro on the first turn.  Bolt For Biers and Dennis Delight collided entering the home straight.  Don't Tell Julie and Stormy Lights collided in the home straight checking Stormy Lights.  Don't Tell Julie visibly eased and turned its head inwards approaching the winning post colliding with Stormy Lights.

Don't Tell Julie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following race 4. No apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to Mr Patrick Furci, the trainer regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Don't Tell Julie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Furci pleaded guilty to the charge, Don't Tell Julie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and pursuant to GAR 72 , before any future nomination will be accepted.

Blazer Nation, Ava's Journey and Lala Fig were slow to begin.

Shifty Shirl checked off Och Eye Mum approaching the first turn.  Och Eye Mum and Rock Me Mama collided several times approaching the first turn.  Och Eye Mum, Shifty Shirl and Rock Me Mama collided on the first turn checking Shifty Shirl and severely checking Och Eye Mum which pulled up as a result. Ava's Journey checked off Pure Mania in the home straight. 

Och Eye Mum underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury and left shin soreness.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Mt. View Buck and Kruger Lass collided soon after the start checking Kruger Lass.  Trojan Package crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Lonesome Star, Dutch Impact and Skibo Boy.  

Trojan Package underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request due to an incident in the catching pen - no apparent injury was reported.

Call Me Molly, Mega Heist and Our Watto were slow to begin.

Call Me Molly and Mega Heist collided soon after the start.  Wishly Bale checked off Majestic Stella on the first turn.  Majestic Stella galloped on King Cujo on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  

Millie Millions and Master Febey collided in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Pete Cabang - winner of the event.  

A pre-race sample was taken from Low Planes.

Zipping Malibu was quick to begin.  Zipping Slade was slow to begin.

Zipping Slade checked off Ultimate Mayhem on the first turn.  Rocky Strike and Ultimate Mayhem collided on the first turn checking Rocky Strike.  Zipping Malibu and Litigator collided on the home turn checking Zipping Malibu.  Siala Giblet and Litigator collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Ploeger regarding the undue delay in boxing Zipping Malibu in this event.  A warning was issued to Mr. Ploeger pursuant to GAR 51(9).

Due to a technial issue, the photo finish was unavailable for this event.

The times and margins that were originally issued for this race were incorrect which effected the Tier 3 status of several greyhounds incorrectly. In rectifying the issue, the margins of the greyhounds were unable to be populated in the correct form, due to IT issues. The margins were 5.75, 1.75, head, head, nose, 0.25 & 4.25.

Alpine Blaze visibly eased in the home straight.

Alpine Blaze underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Ms Margaret Brealey declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Ms. Brealey, the trainer regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Surf To Burn – Late scratching at 2.09pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to left hindleg injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Glenore Lass – New declared weight of 27.8 kg, last raced at 26.4 kg.

Miss Molly May went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Echo Chamber with trainer Mr Trevor Whitford and noted their comments.

View Jewel and Gunther collided approaching the first turn checking Mt. View Jewel.  Gunther and Shania's Dream collided approaching the first turn checking Shania's Dream.  Denis The Menace and Echo Chamber collided on the first turn checking Echo Chamber.  Gunther galloped on Echo Chamber on the first turn checking Echo Chamber and severely checking Gunther which fell as a result.  Mt.
