Steward's Report
Trever's Desire – Late scratching at 4:45 pm on Sunday, 19 December 2021 when trainer, Ms Julie Green reported the greyhound to be displaying soreness to the left shoulder (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Jayla Bale and Pull Shot were quick to begin. Naha was slow to begin.
Dodgy Digger checked off Legasov Bale approaching the first turn. Legasov Bale contacted the running rail on the first turn; causing Legasov Bale and Dodgy Digger to collide. Jayla Bale and Pull Shot collided on the first turn. Inga Riley checked off Jayla Bale approaching the home turn and collided with Dodgy Digger, causing Inga Riley to lose ground. Jayla Bale and Naha collided in the home straight.
Legasov Bale underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Inga Riley underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg shoulder injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
