Ramadi Bale, Jean Crisp, Crackerjack Dean, Tonto's Revenge and Moonlight Wish collided soon after the start; checking Jean Crisp, Crackerjack Dean and Moonlight Wish.  Sanctioned and Lektra Asha collided soon after the start.  Tonto's Revenge and Moonlight Wish collided approaching the first turn, checking Tonto's Revenge.  Texicali Master and Sanctioned collided on the first turn, checking Jean Crisp.  Crackerjack Dean galloped on the heels of Tonto's Revenge on the  first turn, severely checking Tonto's Revenge which lost ground.as a result.  Texicali Master, Sanctioned and Jean Crisp collided approaching the home turn.  Jean Crisp and Moonlight Wish collided in the home straight.

Tonto's Revenge underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race eight.  Tonto's Revenge was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Moonlight Wish underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Gore regarding the racing manners of Moonlight Wish approaching the winning post.  After hearing evidence from Mr Gore, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

Smiley Clancy, Marie's Angel and Granny Said Go were quick to begin.  Maximum Sam and Bolt For Biers were slow to begin.

Bolt For Biers and Mad Coco collided approaching the first turn.  Maximum Sam and Granny Said Go collided approaching the first turn.  Bolt For Biers and Marie's Angel collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Granny Said Go and Mad Coco collided on the first turn.  Maximum Sam checked off Smiley Clancy approaching the home turn.  Smiley Clancy and Lektra Lad collided approaching the home turn, checking Lektra Lad.  Bolt For Biers checked off Double Rainbow on the home turn.  Maximum Sam and Marie's Angel collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Granny Said Go which trailed the field underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right foreleg wrist injuries.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr Anthony Harding, the trainer of Granny Said Go regarding its performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71 Granny Said Go must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Marie's Angel underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Thomas Sinnott regarding the racing manners of Marie's Angel in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr Sinnott, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Trever's Desire – Late scratching at 4:45 pm on Sunday, 19 December 2021 when trainer, Ms Julie Green reported the greyhound to be displaying soreness to the left shoulder (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jayla Bale and Pull Shot were quick to begin.  Naha was slow to begin.

Bourne Maximum underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg triangle muscle injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
