Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from How's It Alice
Moroka Magic and Yelredda Saint collided approaching the first turn checking Moroka Magic. Yelredda Saint galloped on How's It Alice approaching the home turn checking How's It Alice. Moroka Magic raced wide on the home turn. How's It Alice and Yelredda Saint collided on the home turn. Crowdza Back raced wide on the home turn. Crowdza Back visibly eased in the home straight and collided with Oda May several times to approaching the winning post.
Crowdza Back underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mrs Kay King, the trainer of Crowdza Back regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Crowdza Back was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs King pleaded not guilty to the charge, Crowdza Back was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul track all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Oda May underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Stephen Whyte regarding the racing manners of Oda May in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Whyte, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.
