My Girl Mel was quick to begin.
Freckles Brown and Zippy Customer collided soon after the start. Zipping Chuck, Freckles Brown, Zippy Customer and Voodoo Spirit collided approaching the first turn checking Voodoo Spirit. Zipping Chuck clipped the heels of My Girl Mel approaching the home turn causing Zipping Chuck to fall checking Freckles Brown and severely checking Voodoo Spirit.
My Girl Mel underwent a post-race veterinary examination at trainers request was found to have a spike wound to left biceps tendon. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Voodoo Spirit underwent a post-race veterinary examination was found to have a tarsal sprain hock injury and a spike wond to right foot. A 7 day stand down period was imposed
Zipping Chuck underwent a post-race veterinary examination was found to have a left foreleg split webbing. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
