All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 30.8  degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.6 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Throssell Bale and Trick Me Charlie were slow to begin.

Mr. Blitz and Myola Red Boy collided soon after the start, checking Myola Red Boy.  Felonious Gru and Adelong collided on the first turn.  Mr. Blitz and Trick Me Charlie collided on the first turn.  Trick Me Charlie raced wide on the home turn.  Adelong checked off Felonious Gru in the home straight.  Adelong failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the winning post and collided with Felonious Gru.

Adelong underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race three, no apparent injury could be detected.  Stewards spoke to Mr Joe Borg, the trainer of Adelong regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Adelong was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Borg pleaded guilty to the charge, Adelong was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ready To Launch and Kanji Olympic collided soon after the start.  Ready To Launch checked off War Time Novelty approaching the first turn.  Water Dragon, Kanji Olympic, Soho Expresso and War Time Novelty collided on the first turn; checking Kanji Olympic and Soho Expresso.  War Time Novelty checked off Kanji Olympic approaching the home turn and raced wide.

Ready To Launch underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have thoraco-lumbar injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Big Cohuna and Bop Music were quick to begin.  Nightcore was very slow to begin (4L).

Braemar Prince – Late scratching at 4:30 pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right foreleg wrist injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Crackerjack Keg checked off Aston Samurai soon after the start.  Like A Librarian, Aston Samurai and Sweet Emily collided approaching the first turn; checking Like A Librarian and Aston Samurai; Like A Librarian faltered, lost ground and pulled up in the home straight.

Like A Librarian underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg monkey and right hindleg calf muscle injuries.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Brewski Bruce, Quinnish and Pheme were quick to begin.

Nifty Nangar and Titan Blazer collided soon after the start.  Quinnish and Titan Blazer collided approaching the first turn.  Pheme raced wide approaching the home turn.  Titan Blazer and Aston Sonic collided in the home straight.

Titan Blazer underwent a post–race veterinary examination due to an incident in the catching pen and was found to have displaying thumps and cramping.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Ms Molly Parfett-Oliver was issued a warning under GAR 86 (o) (negligence) for failing to catch at the conclusion of the race.
