Steward's Report
There was no back straight head on vision for this event.
Tail's Up was quick to begin. Hurricane Karin was slow to begin.
Tail's Up crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Unakite. Audacious Stell checked off Unakite on the first turn. Real Mickoy and Sally's Return collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Audacious Stell and No Risk raced wide on the home turn. Unakite turned it's head outwards approaching the winning post and marred Tail's Up.
Unakite underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Liam Sharp, the representative of Unakite regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69 (1), Unakite was charged with marring. Mr. Sharp pleaded guilty to the charge and Unakite was suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
