There was no back straight head on vision for this event.
A pre-race sample was taken from Lacie Rose.
Naomi Butterfly was slow to begin.
Lacie Rose and Sweet Sorrow collided approaching the first turn. Our Elly Bye and Bella Dreamtime collided on the first turn checking Bella Dreamtime and Jeza You Beauty. Bella Dreamtime brushed the running rail approaching the home turn. Sweet Sorrow raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Bella Dreamtime turned it's head inwards in the home straight and marred Lacie Rose.
Bella's Night underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be in season. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Bella Dreamtime underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms. Kelleigh Smith, the representative of Bella Dreamtime regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1), Bella Dreamtime was charged with marring. Ms. Smith pleaded guilty to the charge and Bella Dreamtime was suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
