Steward's Report
Mr Ronald Gilliland failed to kennel Resounding by the appointed kennelling time. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 31(2).
Resounding, On The Air and White Cadillac collided soon after the start, checking On The Air. Nova's Girl checked off Rower's Rule approaching the first turn; checking Nova's Girl, causing Nova's Girl to falter and tail off as a result.
Nova's Girl underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the left and right forelegs, lacerations to the right hindleg, left foreleg monkey and shoulder joint, and right hindleg back muscle injuries. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
