All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 32.6 degrees, and the kennel temperature was 18.0 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Luna Cruz, Plagiarise, Torquay Bale collided soon after the start.  Knowing and Lady Zeeva collided soon after the start.  Torquay Bale and Rohan Bale collided on the first turn checking Rohan Bale, Zambora Charlie and Lady Zeeva, Zambora Charlie and Lady Zeeva raced wide as a result.  Luna Cruz, Plagiarise and Knowing collided on the first turn.  Zambora Charlie faltered entering the back straight.  Torquay Bale and Rohan Bale collided approaching the home turn.  

Zambora Charlie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury and abrasions to the left and right hindlegs. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr Luke Thompson regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the back straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Thompson, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Mr Ian Garland was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Emerald Hill pursuant to GAR 33.

Aston Wonder was slow to begin.

Defined Benefit, Madam Chelsea, Rio Margarita and Emerald Hill collided on the first turn.  Aston Wonder checked off Rio Margarita entering the front straight.  Targod Shirley and Defined Benefit collided approaching the second turn.  Rio Margarita and Emerald Hill collided on the second turn.  Targod Shirley, Defined Benefit and Madam Chelsea collided entering the home straight. 

Arizona Eyes and Kanji Height were slow to begin.  

Painkiller and So Hazy collided soon after the start.  Painkiller and Kanji Height collided on the second turn.  So Hazy checked off Arizona Eyes on the third turn.  Arizona Eyes checked off Painkiller approaching the home turn.  Painkiller checked off Sir Champ approaching the winning post.

I'm Back and El Dorado were slow to begin.

Amnesty and Just Like Mick collided soon after the start.  Soda Fizz checked off Yalena Bale approaching the first turn.  I'm Back, Amnesty and El Dorado collided on the first turn checking Amnesty and El Dorado.  Soda Fizz and Levitation collided on the second turn.  I'm Back and Emani Bale collided on the third turn.  Amnesty, Emani Bale and El Dorado collided entering the home straight.

Starlight Amy and Inside Fifty were slow to begin and collided approaching the first turn.  Inside Fifty raced wide on the first turn.  Gypsy Toowoomba and Golden Ratio collided on the first turn checking Golden Ratio.  Shall She Charm and Starlight Amy collided approaching the home turn.  Inside Fifty raced wide on the home turn.

Party Lights, Jarick Bale and Stay Strong were slow to begin.

Stay Strong checked off Thunder Tears approaching the first turn.  Party Lights and Mepunga Warrior collided entering the front straight checking Jarick Bale.  Party Lights and Mepunga Warrior collided in the front straight and again approaching the home turn.  Party Lights and Stay Strong collided approaching the winning post.

Boombox Hammer was very slow to begin (5 lengths).  Fabriola Duran was slow to begin.

Keenando crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Fabriola Duran, Chop Scotch, Lots Of Chatter and Shima Punga.  Decimate and Shima Punga collided on the first turn.  Chop Scotch and Fireweed collided on the second turn checking Chop Scotch.  Decimate, Lots Of Chatter and Keenando collided approaching the home turn checking Lots Of Chatter and Keenando.  

Hebridean Black was slow to begin. 

Brother Bearing and Paddy Wants Pats collided soon after the start.  Brother Bearing, Paddy Wants Pats and Yozo Bale collided on the first turn causing Yozo Bale to fall checking Paddy Wants Pats and Hebridean Black.  Brother Bearing checked off Carry On Angel approaching the home turn.  Carry On Angel, Tynslee Bale and Carry On Star collided on the home turn.

Yozo Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to right hind caudal.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Gold Skulltula and Busy Time were slow to begin.

Western Blazer, Zipping Heat and Pazienza collided soon after the start.  Western Blazer, Zipping Heat, Pazienza, Gold Skulltula, Busy Time, Inka Bale and Octavia Bale collided on the first turn checking Gold Skulltula, Pazienza and Octavia Bale.  Zipping Heat and Inka Bale collided on the second turn checking Inka Bale and Octavia Bale.  Gold Skulltula checked off Octavia Bale on the home turn.  

Acting in accordance with the GRV Lightning and Thunderstorm Safety Procedure and in consultation with BOM, racing was suspended immediately following race 9 due to continuous lightning strikes within the designated safety zone around the venue.  After further consultation with BOM this race was re-scheduled to start at 10.29pm.

Vayda Bale was slow to begin. 

Sunnyside Pride, Golden Skyrocket and Spring Scout collided soon after the start.  Hoppy Bob, Jye's Jet and Spring Scout collided on the third turn.

This race was re-scheduled to start at 10.48pm.

Orson Avery, Orson Emmy and Broadway Benny were slow to begin.

Orson Avery and Orson Emmy collided soon after the start. 

Orson Avery and Broadway Benny collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Ambushed contacted the running rail approaching the second turn.  Orson Emmy and Broadway Benny collided on the second turn.  

Ambushed underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury, left hind laceration and an abrasion to the left tibia.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  

This race was re-scheduled to start at 11.03pm.

Always Ho Ho and Jimmy were slow to begin.

Thunder Dash and Jimmy collided on the first turn checking Thunder Dash.  Jimmy contacted the running rail approaching the second turn checking Thunder Dash.  Jimmy, Thunder Dash and Always Ho Ho collided entering the back straight checking Thunder Dash and Always Ho Ho.

Jimmy underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
