Steward's Report
Party Doll was quick to begin. Apache Runner was slow to begin. Audacious Leila and Throw Caution collided soon after the start. Sandy Gem and Throw Caution collided soon after the start checking Sandy Gem. Apache Runner marred Coolant approaching the winning post.
Apache Runner underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left hamstring. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Shane Jack the representative for Apache Runner regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Apache Runner was charged with marring. Mr. Jack pleaded guilty to the charge, Apache Runner was found guilty and suspended for 3 months all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72 before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post race sample was taken from Coolant - winner of the event.
