All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 32.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.5 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Galloping Sooty was slow to begin.  Ocean Legend and Mt. View Lady collided approaching the first turn.  Stewart was checked off Goolagong on the first turn.  Mt. View Lady was checked off Miss Moppet on the home turn.  Galloping Sooty raced wide in the home straight.

Ice Cool Kimmi was quick to begin.  Blair’s Rex, Covert Cover, Ocean Jewel and Ruby Runner were slow to begin.  Blair’s Rex, Confer and Union Square collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds.  Confer, Covert Cover and Ruby Runner collided approaching the first turn checking Covert Cover and Ruby Runner.

Stewards noted the muzzle of Ice Cool Kimmi became dislodged during the running of the event.

Just A Jester and Superb collided soon after the start.  Brandeen Jerry and Just A Jester collided approaching the first turn.  Poppy Choppy and Superb collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Magic Mist was quick to begin.  Dr. Seko and Black Spartacus were slow to begin.  Fearless Rory and Dr. Seko collided soon after the start.  After Hours was checked off Rapaki Rocks on the first turn.  Magic Mist and Rapaki Rocks collided on the first turn.  After Hours and Dr. Cheyanne collided approaching the home turn.

Ms. Yvonne Andrews was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Tail's Up pursuant to GAR 33.

Willing Wilma, Sir Marley, Dashing Mini and Annabelle Rocks were slow to begin.  Dashing Mini was checked off Annabelle Rocks approaching the first turn.  Annabelle Rocks and Sir Marley collided on the first turn.  Tail’s Up, Sir Marley and Annabelle Rocks collided on the first turn.  No Anchovies was checked off Redgum Flyer on the first turn.  Willing Wilma and No Anchovies collided on the home turn.  Sir Marley and Dashing Mini raced wide in the home straight.

Flaming Rush and Hurricane Harry collided soon after the start.  Forever A Dream was checked off Hurricane Harry in the back straight.

Party Doll was quick to begin.  Apache Runner was slow to begin.  Audacious Leila and Throw Caution collided soon after the start.  Sandy Gem and Throw Caution collided soon after the start checking Sandy Gem.  Apache Runner marred Coolant approaching the winning post.

Apache Runner underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left hamstring.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Shane Jack the representative for Apache Runner regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Apache Runner was charged with marring. Mr. Jack pleaded guilty to the charge, Apache Runner was found guilty and suspended for 3 months all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72 before any future nomination will be accepted.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Scatterbox with trainer Mr. Jeff Galea and noted his comments.

Weeona Jack - New declared weight of 30.8kg, last raced at 29.2kg

Weeona Jack and Bank Book collided approaching the first turn checking Weeona Jack.  Oda May and Scatterbox collided approaching the first turn.  Zipping Chew and Dundee Hornet collided on the first turn checking Dundee Hornet.  Rasputin clipped the heels of Scatterbox on the first turn.

Dundee Hornet underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left back muscle.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Esther - Late scratching at 10.11am - Stewards non penalty.

Old Ecca was quick to begin.  Daintree Lad was slow to begin.  Old Ecca crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Black Redeemer and Mt. View  Buck.  Our Solitaire was checked off Black Redeemer on the first turn.  Flywheel Bandit visibly eased on the first turn.  Flywheel Bandit crossed to the outside and visibly eased on the home turn severely checking Old Ecca.

Flywheel Bandit underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right triangle muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Sam Bye regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn and on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Flywheel Bandit was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due committement (by reason of injury).  Mr. Bye pleaded guilty to the charge, Flywheel Bandit was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Parzival.

Mia’s Hand was quick to begin.  Sir Chappy was slow to begin.  Sir Chappy and Mayhem Lass collided soon after the start.  Narcissus, Mia’s Hand, Missy’s Hand, Nitroglycerine, Aston Sylvie and Parzival collided approaching the first turn checking Parzival, Nitroglycerine, Missy’s Hand and Mia’s Hand, severely checking Aston Sylvie.  Aston Sylvie and Nitroglycerine collided in the home straight.  

Mayhem Lass underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right hock.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards abandoned the GRV heat policy when the outside temperature dropped to 22 degrees.

Hot Shaynna and Almapa Sunshine were slow to begin.  Baggy’s Gold and Raw Panic collided approaching the first turn.  Raw Panic and On Time Cash collided on the first turn.

Somerton Rose was quick to begin.  Willow’s Hand and Little Kit were slow to begin.  Lady Loch and Willow’s Hand collided approaching the first turn.  High Plain and Willow’s Hand raced wide in the home straight.  High Plain and Willow’s Hand collided approaching the winning post..
