Henry The Hawk was quick to begin.

Lala Fig and Petula collided soon after the start, checking Lala Fig. Henry The Hawk faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off. Petula checked off Hone Your Skills on the first turn.

Henry The Hawk underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right triangle and left wrist injuries. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
