Steward's Report
The first split section for this event was manually timed.
Pull Shot and Graphic Design were quick to begin.
Infinite Will checked off Graphic Design on the first turn. Pull Shot checked off Our Ryker on the home turn. Bourne Maximum, which trailed the field throughout, was vetted and then revetted following the event.
Bourne Maximum underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wound to the nose and right hindleg hock. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Gavin, the representative of Bourne Maximum regarding its performance in this event. After hearing evidence from Mr Gavin,, Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71 Bourne Maximum must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Graphic Design – the winner of the event.
