All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 31.4 degrees and the kennel temperature was 15.9 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr J. Mangion regarding the scratching of Top Plain, as the scratching has afforded an empty boxes in the event. Mr Mangion explained that Top Plain was a scratching due to a left wrist injury. Mr Mangion explained that the greyhound would likely take at least 10 days to recover from the wrist injury. Stewards noted his explanation.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr G. Dainton regarding the scratching of Dookie Devil, as the scratching has afforded an empty boxes in the event. Mr Dainton explained that Dookie Devil was a scratching due to being a heat affected meeting. Mr Dainton explained that in his opinion that the greyhound was a first starter and had trialled the greyhound previously in the heat and the greyhound a slow recovery. Stewards noted his explanation. 

After Affair was slow to begin. Jackpot Joan and Diversify collided soon after the start and again on the first turn checking Diversify which tailed off as a result.

Diversify underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right monkey muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Afro Puff was quick to begin. Holly Dwyer was slow to begin. Gunai Girl and Holly Dwyer collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Cocktail and Villanova collided approaching the first turn checking Villanova. Gunai Girl and Holly Dwyer collided on the first turn. Afro Puff and Short Fine Leg collided approaching the home turn checking Afro Puff. Gunai Girl and Holly Dwyer collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Engaging was quick to begin. Tingle, Watch The Clock and All Inn Scooby were slow to begin. Watch The Clock and All Inn Scooby collided soon after the start. Engaging, My Believer, Stay Together and It's Coming Home collided approaching the first turn checking My Believer, Watch The Clock, All Inn Scooby and It's Coming Home. All Inn Scooby and It's Coming Home collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Tingle, All Inn Scooby and It's Coming Home collided on the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Stay Together and Watch The Clock collided several times in the home straight checking Stay Together.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms A. Powell regarding the scratching of Que Up, as the scratching has afforded an empty box in the event. Ms Powell explained that Que Up was a scratching due to being seasonal, she further added that it will take 28 days for the greyhound to resume racing. Stewards noted her explanation.

The Heat Policy was dispersed prior to the running of this event.

Aston Jansz was slow to begin. Bongino, Stack and Husky Freckle collided approaching the first turn checking Bongino, severely checking Husky Freckle. Husky Freckle brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Bongino and All Inn Christy collided on the first turn. Stack and Lightning Blue collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Bongino, Stack, Totally Know and Lightning Blue.

Husky Freckle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right carpal sprains and an injury to the left shoulder muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr S. VanTaarling, the Representative of Husky Freckle regarding its performance in the home straight. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Husky Freckle must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Totally Know underwent a post-race veterinary examination following a catching pen incident and was found to an injury to the right monkey muscle and a thoraco-lumbar injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Ching Ching, Proven Blazer and Alfie Solomon collided soon after the start. Ching Ching, Proven Blazer, Alfie Solomon and Ishmy Ruby collided approaching the first turn checking Proven Blazer, Alfie Solomon and Ishmy Ruby. Proven Blazer and Alfie Solomon collided approaching the home turn checking Proven Blazer. East Street and Ishmy Ruby collided in the home straight.

Aston Santana underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainers request and was found to have an injury to the right triangle muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Ducky's Delight – New declared weight of 31.4kg, last raced at 32.5kg.

Bull Montana and Stellar Rising were slow to begin. St. Marys Panda and Ducky's Delight collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking St. Marys Panda, severely checking Ducky's Delight. Bull Montana and Mallee Swan collided on the first turn.

It's A Drama and Trickster Cabang collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Aston Profit and All Inn Jasper collided approaching the home turn checking All Inn Jasper. Short Deuce checked off Aston Profit on the home turn. Short Deuce and Trickster Cabang collided several times in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

A pre-race sample was taken from People Get Ready.

White Surprise was quick to begin. Snack Attack, Caps Lock On and People Get Ready were slow to begin. Caps Lock On and People Get Ready collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Caps Lock On faltered on the first turn and tailed off as a result. Aston Ryker and Aston Tribute collided approaching the home turn checking Aston Ryker, Aston Tribute and People Get Ready. People Get Ready checked off Aston Ryker on the home turn. Snack Attack faltered on the home turn and tailed off as a result. Aston Ryker and People Get Ready collided in the home straight and raced wide.

Snack Attack underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Caps Lock On underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Blackpool Bart was quick to begin. Got A Repair and Tobin Frost collided soon after the start and again on the first turn checking Tobin Frost. Return Serve, Flying Brae and Axedale Pirate collided on the first turn checking Flying Brae. Return Serve and Axedale Pirate collided on the home turn. Jay For Jack raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight.

Whiskey Road - Late scratching at 9.55pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to Diarrhoea. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Bad Boy Vegas and Aston Kenno collided soon after the start checking Aston Kenno. Bad Boy Vegas and Smart Rose collided on the first turn checking Smart Rose. Aston Kenno clipped the heels of Naomi Butterfly on the first turn checking both greyhounds.

Flying Bella stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin - 4 lengths. Nangar Troy, Paper Plane and Itchy Kaala collided approaching the first turn checking Paper Plane. Itchy Kaala and Fairytale Bliss collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Across The Sky, Nangar Troy and Jedda Milne collided approaching the home turn checking Jedda Milne. Itchy Kaala and Fairytale Bliss collided on the home turn. Paper Plane crossed to the outside on the home turn checking Flying Bella. Flying Bella and Paper Plane raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight.

During Kennelling, Knocka Bott collapsed in the carpark. The greyhound was pronounced deceased by the On-Track Veterinarian. Routine samples were taken and an autopsy will be conducted in accordance with GAR 78. As a result Knocka Bott was a late scratching at 6:37pm.

Sweet Harriet and Stella Diamond collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.
