Silver Jett was slow to begin.
Global Jewel and Lethal Vision collided soon after the start. Global Jewel and Lethal Vision collided at the 250m mark. Global Jewel faltered and tailed off at the 200m mark. Lethal Vision checked off Silver Jett at the 200m mark. Heaven's Tower and Shania's Dream collided several times from the 150m mark to the 50m mark. Lethal Vision and Huntly Flyer collided approaching the 50m mark. Heaven's Tower and Shania's Dream collided approaching the winning post.
Global Jewel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to the representative Mr G Smith regarding the racing manners of Lethal Vision at the 100m mark. After hearing evidence from Mr Smith, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 100m mark.
