Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) lure driver Mr C. Chilcott did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
It's My Party and Suntory Rose were quick to begin. My Father's Son and Casus Belli were slow to begin. My Father's Son and Casus Belli collided on the first turn. Suntory Rose checked off It's My Party approaching the third turn. War Drum Express and Suntory Rose collided on the third turn. Casus Belli and Suntory Rose collided in the back straight checking Casus Belli. My Father's Son and It's My Party collided approaching the fifth turn checking It's My Party. War Drum Express marred My Father's Son approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. War Drum Express and Suntory Rose collided approaching the winning post.
War Drum Express was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr R. Camilleri regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) War Drum Express was charged with marring. Mr Camilleri pleaded not guilty to the charge, War Drum Express was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
