Sugar Plum Fairy and Forever were quick to begin. Rapid Voyage was slow to begin.
Freeman's Hope and Forever collided approaching the first turn severely checking Freeman's Hope. Bella's Night checked off Freeman's Hope on the first turn. Zeki checked off Sugar Plum Fairy on the home turn. Freeman's Hope checked off Forever approaching the winning post.
Rapid Voyage underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
