Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, provided satisfactory evidence of vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination (workers) directions, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Our Danny, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Buck Hunter, General Shiraz, Mcivor Jimmy and King Lebron collided soon after the start checking Buck Hunter and General Shiraz, severely checking Mcivor Jimmy and King Lebron. Buck Hunter and Mcivor Roxy collided on the first turn checking Mcivor Roxy. Mcivor Jimmy and Mcivor Roxy collided approaching the home turn checking Mcivor Jimmy, severely checking Mcivor Roxy.

Flying Frank – Late scratching at 13:45pm due to non–arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Ms Melissa Fullerton informed Stewards that she had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track.  Stewards advised Ms Fullerton that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival.  The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence. 

Nicmac Miss and Holly Fever collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Whispers Blare and Perfect Lomar collided soon after the start checking Perfect Lomar. Miss Bazaar, Nicmac Miss and Holly Fever collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Midda's Missile and Whispers Blare collided on the first turn checking Midda's Missile. Midda's Missile and Perfect Lomar collided approaching the home turn checking Midda's Missile. Whispers Blare checked off Jefferson County approaching the home turn. Midda's Missile visibly eased on the home turn. Miss Bazaar and Holly Fever collided on the home turn. Miss Bazaar raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Midda's Missile underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Mr Joe Borg declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr Joe Borg, the trainer of Midda's Missile regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Midda's Missile was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Borg pleaded guilty to the charge, Midda's Missile was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Perfect Lomar - the winner of the event.

Compton Redeemer, Zipping Thor and Our Boy Ziggy were slow to begin.

Zipping Thor and Our Boy Ziggy collided soon after the start checking Zipping Thor. Oscar Octopus and Zipping Iris collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Flaming Pepper and Our Boy Ziggy collided on the first turn checking Flaming Pepper.

Zipping Zarbo was quick to begin.

Mcivor Stretch, Dark Compass and Birdbrook collided approaching the first turn checking Mcivor Stretch. Dark Compass and Birdbrook collided on the first turn checking Birdbrook. Birdbrook checked off Jetta's Shout on the home turn. Mcivor Stretch raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Runnin' Riot was slow to begin.

Flying Jelly and Money Owes collided on the first turn checking Flying Jelly. Our Fabio, Starlight Tyson and Painkiller collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking Our Fabio and Painkiller, severely checking Starlight Tyson.

Tobin Frost and Taltarni Black were slow to begin.

Meatball Soup, Gotham Duke, Margaret's Heart and Kraken Doll collided on the first turn checking Margaret's Heart and Kraken Doll. Margaret's Heart, Kraken Doll and Affair Bit collided entering the back straight severely checking Margaret's Heart. Meatball Soup and Gotham Duke collided approaching the second turn checking Meatball Soup. Meatball Soup and Taltarni Black collided on the second turn checking Meatball Soup. Tobin Frost, Taltarni Black and Affair Bit collided entering the home straight checking Taltarni Black. Gotham Duke checked off Tobin Frost in the home straight.

Affair Bit underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left dew claw injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

St. Marys Panda and West Song collided soon after the start. Nicko In Paris, Soda Titan, All Inn Chester and St. Marys Panda collided on the first turn checking Soda Titan and All Inn Chester. Nicko In Paris and All Inn Chester collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Soda Titan and Bag Secured collided in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Golden Quest - the winner of the event.

Fernando Cazz and Rebellious were quick to begin.

So Predictable was slow to begin.

Representative, Mr David Mckenzie was issued a fine of $50 pursuant to GAR 31, due to the greyhound Golden Skyrocket being kennelled after the appointed closing time.

Husky Flyer, Big Fonzie and Aston Sonic collided soon after the start checking Husky Flyer and Big Fonzie. Sassenach, Aston Sonic, Drakensberg Dot and Litigator collided on the first turn checking Big Fonzie, Sassenach, Aston Sonic, Drakensberg Dot and Litigator. Aston Sonic, Drakensberg Dot and Litigator collided on the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Drakensberg Dot and Litigator collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Golden Skyrocket and Merry Lass collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Alisdair Armstrong regarding the boxing of Sassenach in this event. After hearing evidence from Mr Armstrong and the Steward at the start, it was established that the greyhound Sassenach was almost placed in the incorrect starting box prior to the greyhound being repositioned into the correct starting box. After considering the evidence presented, the fact that the start was not delayed and Mr Armstrong's offence record, a warning was issued for his negligence pursuant to GAR 86(o). 

Scott Hue was slow to begin.
