Steward's Report
Ken's Crew and Two Pars were quick to begin.
Flywheel Bandit checked off Ken's Crew and collided with Billy Bob Jordan and Elswyk Suzie soon after the start. Flywheel Bandit and Billy Bob Jordan collided approaching the first turn checking Flywheel Bandit. Rookie Mistake galloped on Say You Will on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Reimagine galloped on Ken's Crew approaching the home turn. Billy Bob Jordan, Ken's Crew and Rookie Mistake collided on the home turn. Reimagine shifted out and turned it's head outwards entering the home straight. Two Pars and Reimagine collided in the home straight.
Reimagine underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to the trainer, Mr. Terry Proctor regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Reimagine was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Proctor pleaded not guilty to the charge, Reimagine was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
