Tiger's Twenty and Yellow And Black collided soon after the start checking Tiger's Twenty. Yellow And Black and Aston Atlas collided approaching the first turn. Mr. Blurton and Nitroglycerine collided on the first turn. Nitroglycerine checked off Parumba Rebel on the first turn. Leo Rose, Tiger's Twenty and Aston Atlas collided on the first turn; Tiger's Twenty and Aston Atlas fell as a result. Mr. Blurton and Nitroglycerine collided entering the home straight.
Tiger's Twenty underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
