Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, provided satisfactory evidence of vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination (workers) directions, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately two minutes due to issues with the broadcast vision. As a result, this event was not shown live on SKY Racing.

Grant's Treasure – Late scratching at 6.19pm by Order of Stewards in the best interests of greyhound racing, in accordance with GAR 20 (4) (b) due to connections being unable to provide the required documentation to meet the State Government’s Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions.  

The closing time of kennelling was altered in accordance with GAR 31 due to operational requirements. The kennels closed at 7:00pm.

Worldwide and Galloping Latte were slow to begin.  

Bucked Head and Worldwide collided in the home straight.  Ramadi Bale and Bucked Head collided in the home straight.  Ramadi Bale raced ungenerously in the home straight.

Ramadi Bale underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the left metatarsals.  No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mrs. T. Kennedy-Harris, the Kennel Representative of Ramadi Bale regarding the greyhound’s performance in the home straight.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Ramadi Bale must perform a satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

There was no head on vision for this event.

Corn And Caviar went up with the lids at box rise.  Majestic Jay and Specter Litt were slow to begin. Mr. Specter and Majestic Jay collided soon after the start.  Corn And Caviar raced wide on the home turn.  Rogue Empire and Mr. Specter collided entering the home straight.  Majestic Jay and Specter Litt collided approaching the winning post.

Star Hawk underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left back muscle.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

She’s Our Rocket underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing on the left hind foot.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

View Audrey which fell as a result.  Callum Ari and Mr. Neo collided on the first turn.  Murt Law and Mr. Neo collided approaching the home turn.  Murt Law and Paua Of Oscar collided in the home straight. 

Mt. View Audrey underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo-sacral injury and an abrasion on the left achillies.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stirling Lights stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin.

Lucky Lance and Let Out collided soon after the start.  Let Out and Broady Lights collided approaching the first turn checking Let Out.  Let Out faltered approaching the home turn and subsequently pulled up.  Demolition and Parzival collided on the home turn.  Parzival raced wide in the home straight.

Let Out underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right hock. Let Out was humanely euthanised.

Following the running of this event and after consistent rainfall in the area, Stewards inspected the entirety of the track and deemed it to be satisfactory for racing.

Circus Dancer, System Issues and Mr. Neat collided soon after the start.  Total Babe, Mr. Neat, System Issues and Mechanics Kismet collided approaching the first turn checking Mechanics Kismet, System Issues and Mr. Neat.  Circus Dancer galloped on Zipping Margo on the first turn checking Circus Dancer, severely checking Zipping Margo which fell as a result.  All For Now and Write About Her collided in the home straight.  All For Now eased and turned its head outwards in the home straight.  Write About Her and Total Babe raced wide in the home straight. System Issues raced very wide in the home straight and momentarily left the surface of the track.

Stewards initially delayed the 'All Clear' whilst the race footage was reviewed. Stewards were satisfied that in momentarily leaving the track whilst running wide in the home straight, System Issues had gained no distinct advantage and had no effect on the first four placings. Stewards subsequently declared 'All Clear' and no further action was taken.

Systems Issues underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported

Zipping Margo underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on a left hind toe.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

All For Now underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right hock and right triangle muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Lindrea, Trainer of All For Now regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A (1), All For Now was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Lindrea pleaded guilty to the charge and All For Now was suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards opened an inquiry into the conduct of Mr. D. Prout, Kennel Representative and Owner of System Issues, after reports were received of particular comments made behind the boxes after the start of this event. Stewards found Mr. Prout's comments to be detrimental to the image of greyhound racing and subsequently laid a charge under GAR 86(q).  Mr. Prout pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the amount of $100.00.

Zipping Chew, Morosis, Click And Win and Dundee Silk were slow to begin.  

Morosis and Shining Gem collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Shining Gem and Dundee Silk collided on the first turn checking Shining Gem.  Sweet Sorrow raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Mayhem’s Quest and Elliott Ness were slow to begin.  

Pat My Lass and Taylor’s Jewel collided soon after the start.  Pat My Lass and Luca’s Jebrynah collided approaching the first turn checking Pat My Lass.  Taylor’s Jewel and Mayhem’s Quest collided approaching the first turn checking Taylor’s Jewel.  Elliott Ness and Luca’s Jebrynah collided in the home straight.  Pat My Lass and Taylor’s Jewel raced wide in the home straight.
