Steward's Report
Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, provided satisfactory evidence of vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination (workers) directions, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
The start of this event was delayed by approximately two minutes due to issues with the broadcast vision. As a result, this event was not shown live on SKY Racing.
Grant's Treasure – Late scratching at 6.19pm by Order of Stewards in the best interests of greyhound racing, in accordance with GAR 20 (4) (b) due to connections being unable to provide the required documentation to meet the State Government’s Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions.
The closing time of kennelling was altered in accordance with GAR 31 due to operational requirements. The kennels closed at 7:00pm.
Worldwide and Galloping Latte were slow to begin.
Bucked Head and Worldwide collided in the home straight. Ramadi Bale and Bucked Head collided in the home straight. Ramadi Bale raced ungenerously in the home straight.
Ramadi Bale underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the left metatarsals. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mrs. T. Kennedy-Harris, the Kennel Representative of Ramadi Bale regarding the greyhound’s performance in the home straight. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Ramadi Bale must perform a satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
There was no head on vision for this event.
