Peccavi was quick to begin.  Okara Bale, Zoomer Bale and Brave Lad were slow to begin.

View Gem on the first turn severely checking Marrying and Brave Lad, causing Brave Lad to stumble and lose considerable ground.  Zoomer Bale checked off Okara Bale on the first turn.  Okara Bale and Zoomer Bale collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Zoomer Bale and Gogo Lillian collided several times in the home straight.  Zoomer Bale veered in and marred Gogo Lillian in the home straight.

Brave Lad underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Zoomer Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind foot. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Jack Stutt, the representative regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Zoomer Bale was charged with marring.  Mr. Strutt pleaded guilty to the charge, Zoomer Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

La Blonde went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (2 lengths).

Urunga Bale, Flying Jelly and Nana Pat collided approaching the first turn severely checking Nana Pat.  Nana Pat checked off Pure Ruby on the first turn.  La Blonde raced wide on the home turn.  Darley Lass checked off Tiggerlong Foot entering the home straight.  Darley Lass and Tiggerlong Foot collided in the home straight. 

Phoenix Flight was slow to begin.  Major Bandit was very slow to begin (2 lengths).

Tiggerlong Car, Campaspe Wilson and Bella Dreamtime collided several times approaching the first turn and on the first turn.  Pyrenees Pegasus checked off Tiggerlong Car on the first turn.  Rock Me Mama brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Rock Me Mama checked off Phoenix Flight approaching the home turn.  Campaspe Wilson checked off Bella Dreamtime entering the home straight.  Major Bandit checked off Campaspe Wilson in the home straight.

Rock Me Mama underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a thoraco-lumbar injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Strict Liability was quick to begin.  Crazy Old Fool and Kaiden were slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Mooney, trainer of Litigator after a significant market move on fixed odds betting ($10 into $3.10) for the greyhound in this event. Mr. Mooney stated that Litigator was best suited to an inside draw today and felt that the greyhound would lead early due to a lack of speed from box 1. Mr. Mooney added that Litigator performs best when leading and he was confident the greyhound would race up to his expectations. Mr. Mooney further added that he did support the greyhound in today's event. Stewards noted his comments.

Prince Archer went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Brizo was slow to begin.

Fascinate Candy and Rocky Strike collided approaching the first turn.  Waylin Bale checked off Brizo approaching the first turn.  Butterfly Indee lost ground on the first turn and tailed off as a result.  Trending Wave checked off Waylin Bale on the first turn.  Butterfly Indee faltered in the home straight. 

Butterfly Indee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Prince Archer underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request - no apparent injury was reported.

View Ivy approaching the first turn.  Jerry Buzzard and Mt. View Ivy collided entering the home straight and several times in the home straight.  Aston Xavier checked off Lizzie's Glory entering the home straight. 

Miss Marlee Moo underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke the trainer of Waikerie Bandit, Mr Thomas Sharp regarding his tardiness when boxing the greyhound. Stewards noted Mr. Sharp's explanation and no further action was taken.

Pyrenees Spirit crossed in soon after the start and collided with Cryptic Signal.  Lil Snooze checked off Cryptic Signal approaching the first turn checking Pyrenees Spirit.  Pyrenees Spirit checked off Lil Snooze on the first turn.  Pure Cool Titan and Aston Malmo collided on the home turn.  Pure Cool Titan and Cryptic Signal collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.
