Orson Avery - Late scratching at 12:25pm when trainer Ms. Chloe Dew reported the greyhound to have an illness. (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Time For Peace, Jax Bale, Mahogany Jet, Eat My Dust and Bobby The Brute collided soon after the start checking Mahogany Jet and Bobby The Brute. Eat My Dust and Winlock Thor collided approaching the first turn checking Winlock Thor. Mahogany Jet and Bobby The Brute collided approaching the first turn checking Bobby The Brute. Mahogany Jet and Winlock Thor collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Jax Bale and Eat My Dust collided on the first turn. Bobby The Brute checked off Winlock Thor entering the back straight.
Mahogany Jet underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
