Steward's Report
Weblec Flame – Late scratching at 5.34pm when Ms. A. Langton (representing Trainer - Mr J Britton) reported the greyhound to to be ill (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
The start of this event was delayed approximately 3.5 minutes after the lids failed to release on testing the boxes prior to the event. All Handlers were directed to move their greyhounds away to trip the boxes.
Indy Fido and Kinson Bale collided soon after the start. Midday Snooze and Saint Mac collided soon after the start. Midday Snooze stumbled approaching the home turn. Midday Snooze shifted out and raced wide on the home turn. Indy Fido and Fernando's Quest collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Kinson Bale - the winner of the event.
