A pre-race sample was taken from Shady Talks.
Speed Demon was quick to begin. Melanistic and Armstrong Bobby were slow to begin. Highway Man was checked off Feel The Thunder on the first turn. Rocks Got Talent and Feel The Thunder collided on the first turn. Speed Demon and Rocks Got Talent collided on the first turn. Highway Man crossed out approaching the home turn and galloped on Speed Demon checking Highway Man, Speed Demon and Feel The Thunder, severely checking Rocks Got Talent which fell as a result.
Rocks Got Talent underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left wrist. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
