Just Gab was quick to begin. Big Brew was slow to begin.
Mt. View Nancy checked off Just Gab on the first turn. Big Brew and Gecko Fernando collided on the first turn, checking Gecko Fernando. Just Gab and Big Brew collided several times in the home straight; checking both greyhounds.
Big Brew underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Raymond Brewer regarding the racing manners of Big Brew in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Brewer, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
