Engraged faltered at the 150 metre mark, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle and right hamstring muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Dusty Gold underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have an abrasion to the muzzle area. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Chasing Minty raced ungenerously soon after the start, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left hock -  no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Sandra Elmes regarding the racing manners of Chasing Minty. After hearing submissions from Ms Elmes, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start. 

Dark Night visibly eased at the 50m mark, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Maria Barber regarding the greyhound’s racing manners . Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Dark Night was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Barber pleaded guilty to the charge, Dark Knight was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Greysynd Brockie was quick to begin. Peppermint Minty was slow to begin.

Peppermint Minty faltered at the 100 metre mark, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right bicep muscle and right triangle muscle injury; a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Magnetic Man and Maverick Biggy were slow to begin.

Aussie Bear was quick to begin. 

Lord Maxie fell at the 300m mark, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal sprain and abrasions to the right wrist and left metacarpal. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Waste Land visibly eased at the 50m mark, underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer, Mr Paul Ellul declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr Ellul regarding Waste Land's racing manners at the 50m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Waste Land was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Ellul pleaded guilty to the charge, Waste Land was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Latham – Late scratching at 10:33am under GAR 92(4) on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to have an elevated temperature and showing signs of illness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Pursuant to GAR 75(6), Catching Pen Scanner, Mr B. Van de Maat did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.

Three Bears – Late scratching at 7:13am when Ms Angela Galea reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 76).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nomination will be accepted.
