Steward's Report

Ronnie Armo was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Oberon Bale and Big Brew collided soon after the start.  Keep A Bit and Can I Rock collided soon after the start.  Five Putt Cal, Keep A Bit and Can I Rock collided approaching the first turn.  Five Putt Cal, Keep A Bit, Can I Rock and Oberon Bale collided on the first turn checking Five Putt Cal and Keep A Bit.  Pyrenees Pegasus and Big Brew collided on the first turn.  Oberon Bale checked off Pyrenees Pegasus approaching the home turn.  Five Putt Cal and Keep A Bit collided approaching the home turn checking Five Putt Cal and Ronnie Armo.  Big Brew and Fernando Flop collided in the home straight.  Oberon Bale and Big Brew collided approaching the winning post.  

Big Brew underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left quadriceps injury.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Jayden Brewer regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Brewer, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.

A post-race sample was taken from Oberon Bale - the winner of the event.
