The Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on 6 August 2021.

Stewards spoke to Mr Jayden Brewer regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Brewer, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.

Blue Cherry Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Butterfly Indee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Thomas Boehmke regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn  After hearing evidence from Mr. Boehmke, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

A post-race sample was taken from Johnny Fatboy - the winner of the event. Stewards spoke to Mrs Pauline Patterson, the trainer of Johnny Fatboy as some noticeable betting fluctuations were noted by Stewards.  The comments of Mr. Patterson were noted. 

In accordance with LR 22 Mr Richard Gray was issued with a warning regarding the non-compliance with the GRV Dress Code.

Emani Bale was quick to begin.

Mac's A Million, Florentino and Crystal Opal collided soon after the start and again on the first turn checking Olivia Twist.  Florentino checked off Crystal Opal entering the back straight.  Spencer Giblet and Mac's A Million collided entering the back straight.  Mac's A Million and Florentino collided several times in the back straight.  Olivia Twist checked off Mac's A Million on the second turn.

Craftsman and Mega Heist collided soon after the start.  Fly To Victory and Red Mahogany collided approaching the first turn checking Red Mahogany.  It's A Brew checked off Little Yaala on the first turn.  It's A Brew, Craftsman and Mega Heist collided approaching the home turn.  Fly To Victory checked off It's A Brew approaching the home turn.  Craftsman and Joyous Venture collided several times in the home straight.

Annie My Mate went up with the lids.  Pyreness Alpha, Daisy Hill Lad and Way Up North collided soon after the start checking Pyreness Alpha and Daisy Hill Lad.  Pyreness Alpha and Chloe Exotic collided on the first turn.  Red Taltarni, Pyrenees Alpha, Way Up North and Chloe Exotic collided approaching the home turn.  Red Taltarni and Pyrenees Alpha collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr Ian Robinson, the handler of  Pyreness Alpha regarding the greyhound being presented with the incorrect race rug. Acting under GAR 86(o), the Stewards charged Mr. Robinson for placing the incorrect race rug on, which was considered negligence. Mr. Robinson pleaded guilty to the charge. A fined of $100 was imposed.

Crumb Snags was slow to begin.
