Flowerpot Fox crossed in soon after the start checking Zac's Entity and Foxtrot Tango.  Aston Nixon checked off Don't Tell Bluey soon after the start.  Flowerpot Fox and Western Blazer collided soon after the start.  Western Blazer checked off Cabernet Girl on the first turn.  Flowerpot Fox, External Link and Aston Nixon collided on the first turn; External Link fell as a result.  Flowerpot Fox veered out and marred Aston Nixon on the first turn.  

External Link underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Flowerpot Fox underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey muscle and shoulder.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Gary Joske, the representative regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Flowerpot Fox was charged with marring.  Mr. Joske pleaded not guilty to the charge, Flowerpot Fox was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Balt's Flying was quick to begin.  Rufus Scrimgeour and El Dorado were slow to begin.

Rufus Scrimgeour and El Dorado collided soon after the start.  Zipping Loxley and Rufus Scrimgeour collided soon after the start.  Zipping Loxley checked off El Dorado and collided with Ridge, Retro Rocket and Steamer Redeemer on the first turn checking Zipping Loxley, Rufus Scrimgeour, Ridge and Steamer Redeemer.  Taiepa and Zipping Loxley collided several times on the second turn checking Zipping Loxley and Ridge.  Ridge and Steamer Redeemer collided on the second turn.  El Dorado galloped on Balt's Flying approaching the third turn checking Balt's Flying.  

Stewards spoke to Mr Matthew Marshall (via telephone), the trainer of Balt's Flying after they left the course today without Stewards permission and without having the greyhound vetted following the event.  Stewards issued Mr. Marshall with a warning pursuant to GAR 42 (2). Mr. Marshall returned to the course with Balt's Flying and underwent a post-race veterinary examination.  Balt's Flying was found to have a left carpal sprain.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Whistling Bullet was quick to begin.  People Get Ready was slow to begin.

Denise's Vision and Sweet Demi collided soon after the start.  Sweet Demi and Gypsy Bun collided soon after the start.  Resse's Girl checked off Aston Shine and collided with People Get Ready on the first turn; checking Resse's Girl and causing People Get Ready, Sweet Demi and Hill Top Jack to all fall and collide with the outside fence.  Denise's Vision and Gypsy Bun collided on the second turn.  Denise's Vision checked off Gypsy Bun approaching the third turn and lost ground.  

People Get Ready underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right hind foot.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Sweet Demi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind foot.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Hill Top Jack underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

A False Start was caused due to a malfunction with the starting light of the boxes resulting in a 4 minute delay. All greyhounds were removed from the starting boxes, underwent veterinary examinations and passed fit to start pursuant to GAR 56(6).

Yellow Brick was quick to begin.  Galloping Speed was slow to begin.

Aragog and Collinda Beast collided soon after the start.  Yellow Brick and Up The Amount collided soon after the start.  Gintoki Bale and Aragog collided on the first turn.  Pilbara checked off Up The Amount and collided with Mepunga Felix on the first turn, causing Mepunga Felix to fall.  Gintoki Bale and Up The Amount collided on the home turn.  Yellow Brick and Pilbara collided entering the home straight.  

Mepunga Felix underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest muscle and right thigh muscle injuries.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

An out of competition sample was taken from Bahati Bale on 2 August 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.
