Wynton Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Press On underwent a post-race veterinary examination after being checked and falling after the finish, Press On was found to have a left deltoid muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Rebel Runner was quick to begin.

Waldemar Bale galloped on Rebel Runner soon after the start. Waldemar Bale and Jye's Jet collided on the first turn checking Waldemar Bale. Amelia Ella, Ernie Prang and Man Of Substance collided soon after the start checking Ernie Prang which faultered as a result and lost ground. Amelia Ella and Eternal Ten collided on the first turn. Tom's Express checked off Eternal Ten on the home turn. 

Alpine Blaze - The inside blinker became displaced during the event. Representative Mr John Galea was instructed to ensure the blinkers used on this greyhound today were in good repair at its next start. 

Sadie Rose, Man Cave and Amazon Queen collided on the first turn checking Sadie Rose. Man Cave and Amazon Queen collided several times on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Blackpool Storm and Eastside collided on the first turn checking Eastside. Zipping Benson and Almapa Sunshine collided on the home turn checking Almapa Sunshine. Almapa Sunshine checked off Zipping Benson on the home turn. Franki Jay raced wide entering the home straight.

Jack Out underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg flexor tendon injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Black Beaver - Late scratching at 2.05pm by order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented.  At a subsequent inquiry, the Stewards charged Trainer Mrs A. Gibbons with a breach of GAR 31 for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event.  Mrs Gibbons pleaded guilty and was fined $250, the 28 day stand-down on Black Beaver was revoked.

Loretta Bale and Red Sunset collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Petra and Jupiter King collided approaching the first turn checking Jupiter King. Zipping Petra and Toy Soldier collided on the first turn checking Zipping Petra and Just Admit It. Jupiter King and Toy Soldier collided on the home turn. Toy Soldier and Just Admit It collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.
