Steward's Report

All persons attending the venue today carried face masks, observed social distance requirements, and maintained room density quotients for the race meeting.

Inga Meg– Late scratching at11.57am when trainer, Mr. C. Constantinou reported the greyhound to be on season (GAR 23). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Banjo Edition was slow to begin. Aussie Onyx, Victory Mia and Jackie Speedy collided on the first turn checking Reality Starc and severely checking Aussie Onyx and Jackie Speedy. Victory Mia galloped on Aussie Onyx on the first turn causing Aussie Onyx to cross to the outside and collide with Jackie Speedy; Aussie Onyx and Jackie Speedy raced wide as a result. Banjo Edition crossed out on the home turn and raced wide. Reality Starc and Jackie Speedy collided in the home straight. 

Aussie Onyx underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left metacarpal. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Ms J. Belsham trainer regarding the racing manners of Aussie Onyx on the first turn. After hearing evidence from Ms Belsham, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.
