Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Saw Blaze.
Mt. View Ginger and Mess were quick to begin. Gizmo Osti and Mess collided soon after the start. Gizmo Osti and Mess collided approaching the first turn checking Mess. Lunar Halo, Mess and Blazing Brothers collided approaching the first turn checking Lunar Halo and Mess. Hurricane Miami brushed the running rail approaching the first turn checking Saw Blaze. Mess checked off Lunar Halo on the first turn and lost ground. Saw Blaze and Hurricane Miami collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Mess underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Ronald Wood regarding the racing manners of Mess. After hearing evidence from Mr Wood, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.
