A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Little Nille; a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
Koh Lipe was quick to begin. Boes Rose was slow to begin. Rave On and Edge Serena collided approaching the first turn checking Edge Serena. Koh Lipe crossed in approaching the first turn checking Rave On. Rave On and Koh Lipe collided on the first turn, checking Jacky's Eden and severely checking Koh Lipe; causing Edge Serena, Kalbarri and Boes Rose to collide, checking all three greyhounds; Boes Rose raced wide as a result.
Kalbarri underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have lost a right fore nail. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
