Chasing Chops, Mt. View Shark and Totally Bella were slow to begin. Chasing Chops and Classy Edition collided approaching the first turn checking Classy Edition and severely checking Chasing Chops. Chasing Chops and Highway Man collided on the first turn. Mt. View Shark, Totally Bella, Highway Man and Chasing Chops collided on the first turn severely checking Totally Bella, Mt. View Shark and Chasing Chops and causing Highway Man to fall. Heaven's Tower and Jackie Speedy collided on the home turn. 

Stewards noted that the muzzle on Heaven's Tower became dislodged during the running of the event.

Highway Man underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising over the left shoulder. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Charlotte Tulip– New declared weight of 26.7kg, last raced at 27.8kg.

Big City Nights and Mt. View Burner were slow to begin. Aussie Onyx crossed out soon after the start and collided with Lulu Osti. Mt. View Entry, Aussie Onyx and Charlotte Tulip collided approaching the first turn checking Lulu Osti and Charlotte Tulip. Chasing Teddy galloped on Lulu Osti on the first turn severely checking Lulu Osti and causing Chasing Teddy to fall. 

Chasing Teddy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury and bruising over the right calf. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Totally Balanced underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Deedee Mikado was very slow to begin (4 lengths). Chasing The Edge and Winter's Coming collided soon after the start checking Chasing The Edge. Mt. View Pearl and Mt. View Moon collided approaching the first turn. Mini Higgins and Son Of Beanbag collided on the first turn. Son Of Beanbag visibly eased on the first turn. Mt. View Pearl and Mt. View Moon collided approaching the home turn checking Chasing The Edge. Chasing The Edge and Mt. View Pearl collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Chasing The Edge and Mt. View Pearl collided several times in the home straight. 

Son Of Beanbag underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was revetted following race 5 - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Kenneth McCann regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Son Of Beanbag was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr McCann pleaded not guilty to the charge, Son Of Beanbag was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Gizmo Osti - the winner of the event. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Horace Bale.

Horace Bale and Blazin' Jewel collided approaching the first turn. Astro Naughton and Chasing Love collided on the first turn. Horace Bale and Blazin' Jewel collided on the first turn severely checking Horace Bale. Astro Naughton checked off Chasing Love on the home turn. Chasing Love and Avery collided in the home straight. Blazin' Jewel turned its head outward approaching the winning post. 

Horace Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have abrasions on the right forefoot and left achilles. No stand down period was imposed. 

Blazin' Jewel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following race 6 - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Trevor Whitford regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Blazin' Jewel was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Whitford pleaded not guilty to the charge, Blazin' Jewel was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lea Arandt was slow to begin. Kuta Cowboy and Insomnia Agogo collided on the first turn checking Kuta Cowboy. Lea Arandt checked off Kuta Cowboy on the first turn. Klopp and Bit Twisted collided on the third turn. Bit Twisted, Kuta Cowboy and Klopp collided on the home turn. 

Baby Pechey checked off Why Not Gazza on the first turn checking Baby Pechey. Calabrese Gino and Why Not Gazza collided approaching the home turn. Line Trike and Baby Pechey collided on the home turn. 

Shaun John was slow to begin. Mt. View Rocks and Let's Roll collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. Free Kick Hawks checked off Little Rage on the first turn. Twelfth Of Never and Little Rage collided in the home straight.

Tinker China underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising over the left glute. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Hard At It was slow to begin. Rev The Jockey and Golden Child collided approaching the first turn checking Rev The Jockey. Express Load and Rev The Jockey collided on the first turn. Mt. View Ginger and Golden Child collided approaching the home turn checking Mt. View Ginger. Express Load and Mt. View Ginger collided on the home turn. Mt. View Ginger and Hard At It collided several times in the home straight. 

Inter Joe -  New declared weight of 33.0kg, last raced at 31.9kg.

Instinctual and Watched collided soon after the start checking Watched. Over Talking galloped on Shifter Magic approaching the first turn and collided with Instinctual which raced wide as a result. Inter Joe underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a respiratory wheeze. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
