Alvarez and Yoshi were slow to begin.
Kid Kiddo, El Jay Torana and Strike Me Mad collided soon after the start checking El Jay Torana and Strike Me Mad. Bandsaw and Yoshi collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Paddy's Ari checked off Best Song Ever approaching the home turn. Bandsaw checked off Alvarez in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. G. Green regarding the direction that the greyhound Strike Me Mad be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
