Mr A Kent, trainer of Cosmic Johno redeclared a new weight of 34.3 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Cosmic Johno last raced at 35.8kgs.
Make That Call and Cosmic Johno were slow to begin. Rhythm System crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Oh Kay Reg, checking Cosmic Johno, Make That Call and Oh Kay Reg. Senorita Crisis and Faint Glimpse collided at the 300m mark. Rhythm System and Lil ' Creeker collided several times from the 300m mark until the 150m mark, checking Lil' Creeker. Make That Call checked off Faint Glimpse at the 150m mark.
Cosmic Johno was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr A Kent, the trainer of the greyhound Cosmic Johno. Stewards deemed the performance of Cosmic Johno unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Cosmic Johno must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
