Whispy Watson and Walkin' Millie collided on the first turn severely checking Walikin' Millie which fell checking Ice Ghost and severely checking Tinker Violet.

Tinker Violet underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Whispy Watson underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer's request and was found to have a left thigh injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. William Hartigan, the trainer of Forty Free Beans regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Forty Free Beans was charged with marring. Mr. Hartigan pleaded guilty to the charge, Forty Free Beans was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
