Prince Archer went up with the lids and was slow to begin.
Cooped Up and Blue Tick Erin collided soon after the start checking Blue Tick Erin. Big Tango and Cooped Up collided approaching the first turn checking Big Tango. Big Tango and Galloping Occy collided on the first turn checking Big Tango. Big Tango raced wide in the home straight.
Flash Opal underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 11 and was found to have a left wrist sprain, right deltoid and a sacro-iliac injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
