Steward's Report
Our Boy Benny was slow to begin. Myola Fire and Coolum Beach collided soon after the start. Al's Son, Myola Fire and Coolum Beach collided approaching the first turn, checking Al's Son. Myola Fire and Coolum Beach collided on the first turn. Flame Child lost ground approaching the home turn and collided with Coolum Beach. Al's Son clipped the heels of Flame Child on the home turn.
Flame Child underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right metatarsals and right foreleg monkey and deltoid muscle injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr G Harding, the trainer of Flame Child regarding its performance approaching the home turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Flame Child must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Zipping Blossom - the winner of the event.
