All staff & participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds. 

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 29.7 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.0 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

During kennelling Stewards conducted a carpark check on all trainers’ vehicles engaged in today’s meeting.  Stewards were satisfied that all transport had adhered to the GRV Hot Weather Policy and the GRV Transportation of Greyhounds Policy.

Premier Slice was slow to begin. Proud Molly, Crackerjack Olly and Inga Bella collided approaching the first turn; checking Proud Molly, which collided with Premier Slice.  Inga Riley and Crackerjack Olly collided on the first turn.  Proud Molly and Miss Coby Moss collided approaching the home turn.  Gypsy Warrior and Inga Bella raced wide in the home straight.

Proud Molly underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg wrist and chest muscle injuries.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Our Boy Benny was slow to begin. Myola Fire and Coolum Beach collided soon after the start.  Al's Son, Myola Fire and Coolum Beach collided approaching the first turn, checking Al's Son.  Myola Fire and Coolum Beach collided on the first turn.  Flame Child lost ground approaching the home turn and collided with Coolum Beach.  Al's Son clipped the heels of Flame Child on the home turn.

Flame Child underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right metatarsals and right foreleg monkey and deltoid muscle injuries.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr G Harding, the trainer of Flame Child regarding its performance approaching the home turn.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Flame Child must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Zipping Blossom - the winner of the event.

Go Wild Souvlaki, Nancy Baker and Capital Kay collided soon after the start, checking Nancy Baker.  Capital Kay and Battling Baz collided approaching the first turn, checking Battling Baz.  Capital Kay and Go Wild Souvlaki collided approaching the home turn; checking Go Wild Souvlaki, which collided with Battling Baz.  Go Wild Souvlaki lost ground on the home turn.

Go Wild Souvlaki underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left foreleg chest and right hindleg triangle muscle injuries.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Bel Air Haze - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Blackpool Pyro, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Nyssa's Girl was quick to begin.  Star Of Jasmine was slow to begin. Blackpool Pyro, Star To Burn and Curnow's Blues collided soon after the start, checking Blackpool Pyro.  Curnow's Blues, Star To Burn and Memory Lass collided on the first turn; checking Memory Lass, which collided with Wee Fishin'; causing Memory Lass and Wee Fishin' to fall.

Memory Lass underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left webbing.  A five day stand down period was imposed.

Wee Fishin' underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg stopper injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Tiger Blurton, Amelie Otis and Astro Naughton were slow to begin. Tiger Blurton, Ollie and Warrior Jake collided on the first turn, checking Warrior Jake.  Amelie Otis and Cullquin Freya collided on the home turn, checking Cullquin Freya.

A post-race sample was taken from Crackerjack Dirt - the winner of the event.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Jayla Bale with trainer, Mr LGreen and noted his comments.

Ship Of Fools and Benefit Summary collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Jayla Bale and Aston Logic collided approaching the home turn; severely checking Aston Logic, and causing Jayla Bale to fall.  Ship Of Fools and Benefit Summary collided on the home turn.  Aston Logic faltered and tailed off entering the home straight.  Nitro Roxy and Josie's Call collided in the home straight.  Toyed raced wide in the home straight.

Jayla Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left hindleg sandburn and right hindleg thigh muscle injuries.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Logic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg hock injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Brazen Crow was quick to begin.  Fried White Bait was slow to begin. Stan's Hope, Chill Winston and My Attitude collided approaching the first turn; checking Chill Winston and Stan's Hope.  Chill Winston and Stan's Hope collided on the first turn, checking Chill Winston.

A post-race sample was taken from Joffa's Shadow - the winner of the event.

Tigers Nineteen – Late scratching at 10:45 am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Cracked Soda and Crispy Duck were slow to begin.  Saint Destructor, Crispy Duck, Gardener's Boyo and Belfast Dot collided approaching the first turn, checking Gardener's Boyo.  Crispy Duck, Belfast Dot and Saint Destructor collided on the first turn, checking Belfast Dot.

A post-race sample was taken from Charlie Checker - the winner of the event.

Tinker To Burn was slow to begin.  Two Mac's Bang, Hostile Raven and Little Queeny collided soon after the start.  Crackerjack Lach and Modern Shadow collided approaching the first turn.  Swamp Donkey and Tinker To Burn collided on the first turn, checking Swamp Donkey.  Crackerjack Lach and Rosie Posie collided approaching the home turn.  Crackerjack Lach and Little Queeny collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.
