Steward's Report
Maximum Ivy and Black Booker were quick to begin. Saint Bogan and Our Boy Benny were slow to begin.
Shore's Boy and Zipping Cookie collided soon after the start. Proud Molly and Black Booker collided soon after the start. Saint Bogan checked off the heels of Proud Molly on the home turn. Proud Molly and Zipping Cookie collided on the home turn. Zipping Cookie shifted in and marred Proud Molly several times in the home straight.
Zipping Cookie underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr J Cooper, the representative of Zipping Cookie, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Zipping Cookie was charged with marring. Mr Cooper pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Cookie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Super Remi - the winner of the event.
