Steward's Report
Aussie Onyx was quick to begin. Shrek's Storm was slow to begin.
Aussie Onyx turned its head outwards and visibly eased approaching the first turn and collided with Celtic Gypsy checking Aussie Onyx, Celtic Gypsy, Captain Goldie and Shrek's Storm. Ready To Slide and Mrs. Missile collided on the first turn checking Ready To Slide. Aussie Onyx and Shrek's Storm raced wide on the home turn. Aussie Onyx and Shrek's Storm collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Aussie Onyx underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms. Loren Dalziel regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Aussie Onyx was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Dalziel pleaded guilty to the charge, Aussie Onyx was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
