Steward's Report
Myola Frost, Barooga Franky and Lips Boloney collided approaching the first turn. Idaho, Myola Frost and Go Lexi Go collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn; checking Myola Frost and Go Lexi Go. Lips Boloney and Chasing Honey collided on the first turn, checking Chasing Honey. Alabama Cruise raced wide on the home turn. Barooga Franky turned its head inwards in the home straight. Barooga Franky and Lips Boloney collided approaching the winning post.
Barooga Franky underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler, Mr J Psaila regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Psaila, viewing both the side-on and head-on race footage, acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Barooga Franky was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Psaila pleaded guilty to the charge, Barooga Franky was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
