Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Sugar Shane.
Sugar Shane and Don't Forget Kev collided approaching the first turn. Two Mac's Bang raced wide in the home straight. Iceni Viking marred Ronny Mac in the home straight.
Iceni Viking underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have soft tissue and spike wounds injuries to the right hindleg toes. A five day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms S Gray, the handler of Iceni Viking, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Iceni Viking was charged with marring. Ms Gray pleaded guilty to the charge, Iceni Viking was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
