Steward's Report

Fenway Lights was quick to begin.  Cee Me Snoop was slow to begin.  It's A Tiger and Why Not Lilah collided soon after the start.  It's A Tiger and Inter Helen collided on the first turn.  Inter Helen and Fenway Lights collided approaching the home turn.  Inter Helen visibly eased approaching the home turn and collided with Fenway Lights checking both greyhounds, causing Pine Gem to race wide.

Fenway Lights underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Gorman the trainer of Fenway Lights regarding its performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71 Fenway Lights must perform a satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 72 before any future nomination will be accepted.

Inter Helen underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right triangle muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Interligi the trainer of Inter Helen regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Inter Helen was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Interligi pleaded guilty to the charge, Inter Helen was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(A)(2) and pursuant to GAR 72 before any future nomination will be accepted.
